On Thursday, February 27th, MullenLowe, The Hutchins Center, and M.I.N.D will host a panel discussion as we tackle a variety of issues and subjects that impact black creatives in the Boston area. The theme of this discussion will focus on how creatives can best utilize their skills and talents to empower the black community. The panel of industry professionals will share personal stories, offer advice, and provide critical insights into the everyday challenges we face in the workplace as well as everyday issues.
TOPICS INCLUDE:
- Developing a creative community.
- Dealing with racism, micro-aggressions, and establishing a code of conduct.
- Best practices for landing (or creating) your dream job.
THE MIXER:
Immediately following the panel discussion will be a creative mixer featuring music from DJ Mvgic along with drinks, refreshments, and giveaways. We hope to create a social atmosphere that encourages networking amongst creatives of different disciplines to foster future collaborations.
